ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :
Candidates shall have passed the three year B.A degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto with Konkani as major/optional subject (the cognate subject) are eligible to apply for the programme provided they secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-1 candidates) marks in the cognate subject.
Candidates who have studied Konkani as either the first or second language at the graduate degree level for not less than two years/four semesters are also eligible to apply provided such applicants have secured not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the examination of the subject. The marks scored in the Konkani First or Second language examinations would be equated with the marks of the optional Konkani (the cognate subject) as follows-
60% in Konkani First or Second language to 45% of optional Konkani (the cognate subject).
Candidates who have passed the three year Bachelor’s Degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto and have secured an aggregate minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-1 candidates) marks are also eligible to apply if seats are left vacant after considering applications from category 1 and 2 above. The candidates from this category i.e.; category 3 would be selected solely on the basis of an entrance test designed to test (a) the candidates’ ability to read, write and speak Konkani fluently, and (b) a basic awareness of the literary world of Konkani.

HOW TO APPLY?
Applications can be purchased from the office of the College as soon as the Annual Notifications for Admission to various courses appear in Websites and local News Papers. Duly filled in application can be submitted, along with necessary copies of Certificates, Marks Cards etc, before the last date. Selected candidates will be admitted to the course.
